Oremar
Nestled between rolling hills and dense forests, the walled town of Oremar is a bastion of peace and tradition. Its formidable ramparts remain as a reminder of its past as a keep defending the frontier from a years-long gnoll invasion. While the town is predominantly human, a sizeable elven community has also called Oremar home for generations.
The cobbled streets of Oremar are well-maintained, brimming with merchants, artisans and travellers seeking refuge behind the town’s defenses. The town’s strong agricultural ties are evident, with plentiful fresh produce, livestock, and herbs grown in the fertile lands beyond the walls. Locals are also renowned for their elven crafts—ranging from intricate jewellery to masterfully woven fabrics. Shops of note include an overstocked potion shop called Peerless Potions and an artificer's workshop, The Blue Wand.
The town's spiritual centre is its Shrine of Pelor, dedicated to the prime deity of Valo-Nymeria. The shrine is modest but revered, its marble altar often surrounded by offerings from townsfolk in gratitude for bountiful hunts and harvests. On holy days, the shrine becomes a gathering point for worshippers who celebrate under the watchful gaze of Pelor’s radiant symbol. The shrine is tended by High Priestess Laura Alpenhide, an elderly human and former paladin, assisted by Priest Eustace Featherwick, a former noble who has devoted his life to his faith.
Despite its welcoming presence, Oremar’s walls still bear scars from past sieges and its people remain ever-watchful for threats both mundane and supernatural.
