Intoxication Rules
Each time a character imbibes one standard drink, they must make a CON saving throw. The DC of the save is 10 + the number of drinks the character has previously consumed since their last long rest, ie. DC 10 for the first drink, DC 11 for the second drink etc. A failed save causes the character's Intoxication Level to increase by 1.
Intoxication Levels (1–6):
| Level | Effect |
|---|---|
| 1 | –2 to DEX checks |
| 2 | –2 to attack rolls & DEX saves |
| 3 | Disadvantage on WIS and Perception checks, and DEX saves |
| 4 | Drinker has the Poisoned condition |
| 5 | Drinker has the Stunned condition |
| 6 | You fall Unconscious |
Taking a Short Rest reduces your Intoxication Level by 1, while taking a Long Rest resets your Intoxication Level to 0.
When you finish a Long Rest after gaining Intoxication Levels, make a CON saving throw. The DC is equal to the highest DC value you reached prior to your Long Rest. On a failure, you have a hangover and instantly gain one level of Exhaustion.
