Drowned Woods

The Drowned Woods was a verdant region of the Silverstand until a few decades ago, when rising tides transformed it into a foreboding swampland. As the the water rotted the trees, shambling mounds and blights appeared in the woods in increasing numbers, joined by strange mushrooms and fungi sprouting from the decaying plant life.

At present, the Drowned Woods is arguably the most dangerous location on the Stracony Island. Emaciated trees oversee their flooded domain, little more than wooden skeletons projecting from the mud. Fungi expel thick clouds of spores into the air, blotting out the sun and as their unnatural growths flourish.
