The Uncertain Loch
"The shallow waters hold value to us all. A freshwater lake should be something valuable to us - but that loch? No. We don't go there. Loch Briggs is out of bounds for you. All of you. Do not go into Loch Briggs,"The Uncertain Loch is the common name for Loch Briggs, a body of water in the lower region of Aberway City, which, after reported cases of disapperances entering the hundreds, had its access revoked to the general public. Officially, it may only be entered or used in cases of emergencies, such as the forest fires of Westend Park in 4 ML and the pyromancer sieges of 16 ML. Loch Briggs is situated just outside of the urban environment, in a section of the Central Highlands. It is said that a giant Kelpie, potentially a Dire Kelpie or some elder being, resides at the bottom of the lake, and is responsible for the many disappearances over recent years. Some have also speculated that the Kelpie could be rode, as spoken of in traditional kelpie myths, by a giant creature - often theorised to be the Jaegar. The Court of the Jaeger sees a lot of value in the lake, for this reason, and wish to take control of it, from the Central Aberwaynian Government.

A Cold Approach
The ideas of an elder or alpha creature residing within Aberway City spells disaster, with many people wondering what the best course of action would be for the people of Aberway City. A monster being this close to the epicenter of Aberwaynian politics bodes harmful worries to the Aberwaynian government. There were original talks of draining the lake, or hiring aquatic-based adventurers to destroy the environment of kelpies. However, all of these ideas did not come to fruition, and seemed to be too incidental or expensive to do. Evokers, specifically cryomancers, however, are actively considering to freeze over the whole lake, in order to remove the threat of Kelpies.
