Eisheth

"I have a proposition for you. Yes, yes I do. A mere, simple one. One that I am most certain you'll take. I can always sit in here, and do absolutely nothing. Rot away in the Manus Prism until somebody else picks up my prison from your bones, and sets me free. I'll be free at one point or another - why not settle it on your terms? You're the one who decides what happens with me, you know. Why not make it worthwhile? Better off for the two of us,"

- Eisheth manipulating Gormand Al'dama into freeing her.
Eisheth, or Eiseth, is a demon that originates not from a demiplane or pocket dimension, nor the hellish underworlds. Eisheth was born on Aitso as a direct daughter of Samael, Sin Embodiment, making her one of the most powerful creatures to be born on Aitso, disregarding the bestial Titans and any godspawn. Samael's influence on her had turned her into a sadistic foe that causes mass suffering for many on the Wayfarer's Belt. For centuries, Eisheth had been the subject of fear and paranoia in the masses, having caused extreme amounts of suffering until her sudden capture by the Blackstone Legion, a superpower from a distant world that had used the powers of interplanar transportation to make a new home on Aitso's surface. Confined by Doctor Lanyonn, a scientist that represented the Ministry of Science within the Legion, she was transported across the territories and regions that the Legion had control over. It was only when The S.S. Messiah had been invaded by heroic adventurers, did Eisheth recognise her time to escape. When Gormand Al'dama had unlocked the mechanism that imprisoned her, she had offered a deal for her services in return for her eventual freedom. Since then, she has made herself a valuable ally in the fight against the Legion. She has faced off against Forneus, Lanyonn himself, as well as the newly appointed General Hastings - where she had saved Gormand's life in Maidenstone from a potential grievous wound. She has made herself a valuable, yet controversial ally for the masses that rebel against the Blackstone Legion.
Originally, Eisheth was an inhabitant of a twisted island known as Volutaria. Volutaria was seen as the home residence of Samael - and with his centuries of dominion over the region - Eisheth had plenty of sacrifices and subjects to indulge herself with. She derived her power from the fear of those who were exposed to pain, and had even taken direct pleasure from the suffering of others. She had stalked the few proper settlements on Volutaria in order to embolden her capacity of power. Countless amounts of people have gone missing in the centuries of her prowling, which has caused her to be considered as one of the most powerful creatures to originate on Volutaria.

Appearance

Physically speaking, Eisheth demonstrates plenty of features that are traditionally found on a demon, especially from the Samael lineage. She has humanoid features that are commonly found in stereotypically attractive woman. She demonstrates a large figure, with exagerrated features in order to attract potential targets for her to slay. If it weren't for her direct lineage to Samael, and Samael alone, Eisheth would likely have manifested as a traditional succubus. She has large, blank eyes that are similar to that of an Orca's. They are unmoving, and hold no concept of anatomy. Eisheth, rather, uses a metaphysical manner in order to perceive things. Whilst she doesn't see in the traditional manner, her form of sight comes from some sort of similar notion of Rune-Eyes , where she can determine objects and individuals through their innate, magical quality. This has made her an exceptional ally in areas which are abundant in magical auras, especially when surrounded by those who do not hold an innate sense of magical perception. She can determine the values, powers, and weaknesses of beings which hold great magical power - such as mages or creatures of pure magic. Her skin is ash-grey, a soft flesh which hardens into a carapace when it comes to physical attacks. Defensively, Eisheth is incapable of being wounded by traditional weapons - for they do not hold the same level of raw power that can be found in magical artifacts. Eisheth can be cemented as a perfect predator for those who cannot defend themselves properly. As a demonic being, she doesn't feel exhaustion, meaning that fleeing from the demon would only be a sufficient strategy in handling her if she wishes to let her target escape. Magical weapons, spells, and extreme levels of power and destructive capabilites, however, have been able to cause her proportionate injuries. An individual like Forneus in a lesser mutated form was capable of subduing her, and causing her entrapment in the Manus Prism.
Eisheth holds plenty of unique abilities that aren't found on traditional demons. Whilst some fiends may have prehensile tails, or natural weapons across their bodies - Eisheth can control her hair in a manner that isn't used by many other fiends. She wields total control over her hair, which has microscopic serrations across each strand which can slice through stone with relative ease. They are fine enough to tear apart human flesh internally, whilst causing minimal damage to the exterior. Why she'd do this, is unknown. Her strongest feat of natural, physical strength comes from her claws, which is her traditional manner in fighting her foes in hand-to-hand combat. She has a deep love for combat, as it lets her unleash her powers without any care for those around her. Eisheth demonstrates other natural capabilities that demons typically possess. She holds superhuman characteristics, capable of outmatching almost all humanoid creatures in terms of strength, intelligence, speed and resilience without little exertion of magic, nor power. Demon physiology is found in abundance in her figure. Eisheth can shapeshift at a relative level, turning into similarly sized beings that are humanoid or demonic in nature. She doesn't require the traditional manners of sustenance to survive - not requiring food nor sleep to continue living. She can regenerate from most wounds, given enough time. She holds a subjective scope of reality, too, capable of using reflections as separate realities. Fear is something that she feeds upon, acting like dopamine to humans.
As a higher demon - resembling a domain that cannot be found within the natural state of existence, Eisheth holds an atypical relation towards causality. Chronomancers, and other forms of time-related magic, cannot erase the existence of a demon at any point in history since their conception. Even when interfering with past events, a demon may continue to exist so long as any part of them still exists. Only when they are entirely wiped off of the face of an earth, can a demon die, unless by magical means. This makes Eisheth a temporal paradox, capable of surviving the most dire of attacks in the past. It is only through current events can she die. Whilst she cannot be killed in a traditional manner, by swords nor spears, a magical weapon could potentially slay her.

Personality

Eisheth is manipulative at heart. Her joy comes from her games with mortals, toying with their lives for they do not truly matter to her. She is one of the least ambitious demons on Volutaria, who has no concern over taking over islands, enslaving entire kingdoms, or acquiring dire power. She is a hedonist who only focuses on where her next meal will come from. She is, ultimately, a cantankerous fiend that only values her own life, rather than those who she has little knowledge of. Casualties do not matter to her, and she will happily sacrifice hundreds in order to destroy one life. Eisheth demonstrates a high sense of confidence, sadism, and cruelty.
Eisheth has a god complex. She sees herself as the only important fiend that has emerged from Volutaria from the last couple centuries - and the rightful heir for when Samael eventually dies. She has great admiration for the embodiment of sin, but has a deeper admiration for the power he holds. She has no care for this goal, though. According to her, she just sees it as something she'll have access to - not causing her any blessing or boon towards her goals. She simply wishes to be seen in favour, for when the time comes.
Desperation is a feeling that Eisheth despises - but is one that she has felt many times since her exposure to the Blackstone Legion. She felt great desperation during her fight with the Banestress, as well as Lanyonn. She has hidden this sensation with her current holders, and treats them with some sort of respect. Beyond the initial burst of bargaining, Eisheth works to favour her newfound captors over all over forms of begging. Outright begging makes her physically sick.
Eisheth had fully matured by the time that she had first been exposed to Volutaria's people. Since then, she has only grown more wicked and vile with each passing year, and each passing victim. It was only with her first encounter with the Banestress did she get given a much-needed reality check, which saw her personality shift into what it is today.

Abilities

Unique features can be found with Eisheth. As one of the more powerful spawn of Samael, she boasts plenty of the powers found by the masses, but harbours unique abilities that cannot be found in a traditional fiend. The Blackstone Legion recognises her as a true threat, due to her recognition as a potential inmate in the Phantom's Embrace. Eisheth is feared by other demons and fiends, and Strezgaz has noted his own aversion towards her presence - determining that her schemes and lifestyle would never bring her to Elfar, where he made his plans to control the island. Furthermore, Eisheth was one of the first demons that the Banestress saught, due to her menagerie of powers as well as her superhuman capabilities. Whilst she may have lost to the likes of the Banestress - Eisheth still boasts an incredible amount of power.
Eisheth demonstrates immense physical strength. Despite her stature, and her lack of muscles compared to the more animalistic demons found on Volutaria, Eisheth is capable of lifting entire ships from the sea, as well as lowering airships powered by magic. She can tear through metal with single strikes, and could restrain a heavily mutated Forneus with ease. She was capable of overloading a Manus Box, destroying it by ripping it in two - but couldn't surpass the power exerted by the Manus Prism - designed to contain beings like Eisheth. In her previous fights, before her first encounter with the Blackstone Legion, Eisheth was capable of defeating all of the swordsmen in Volutaria - and had razed an entire city in the process. This had taken her a day, but had happened centuries ago - where her power had only began to grow. Lanyonn's experiments, if he was capable of restraining her in his labs, had calculations and technology prepared that would've comprehended Eisheth's strength at an upper limit of a hundred metric tonnnes. If she inherits all of Samael's power, this is likely to grow at an untold magnitude.
Eisheth's speed, as a demon, boasts great value. Her anatomy allows for her to reach speeds equal to subsonic movement, without exerting her demonic influence. She can achieve this speed by sprinting, flying, or hovering, whilst not relying on any sort of magical powers. Her collection of magical and extraplanar attacks can reach speeds equal to Mach 7. Her awareness and perception skills can be comparable to demons of her calibur, not reaching the likes of Beelzebub or other Sin Embodiments, but far exceeding other fiends. She has been able to dodge direct cannonfire, fireballs, and other spells of great magnitude. When she relies on exerting her destined power, Samael's power, she will likely surpass his capabilities and achieve hypersonic speeds with general ease.
Eisheth has learned plenty of spells that are typically found by mages. She knows common spells that do not have comparable counterparts from her innate spellcasting or demon physiology, such as evocation spells, necromancy, and regeneration, but rather ones that involve emboldening her capabilties in aspects such as speed and physical strength. She can also negate the magic used by her foes with relative ease. Eisheth is, technically, a mage, even if her learned abilities far exceed her spells in terms of quantity and quality. She simply wanted to pass the time, in Volutaria, and spent her years consulting magical tomes out of a passing interest. These spellbooks hold great power, belonging to former mages in service to Samael, but due to Eisheth's nature, she couldn't possibly attune to them all.

History

Eisheth had been formed in the later point of the Founding Lands Era, as one of the younger children of one of the banished demon lords. As a child of Samael, she represents his embodied sin, lust. Samael's banishment had caused his body to fracture between one form that was monstrous - which embodied the sin of lust, and a humanoid one, to reincarnate in tandem with other lesser demons which had been banished, such as Eligor and Forneus. The key difference between these two 'Samaels' is that one embodies their respective sin, lust, and one is haunted by it. The knowledge of these ancient demons have a compulsion that makes weaker individuals completely unaware of the connection between figures like Samael, the Sin Embodiment, and Samael, the Sin Haunted. Eisheth, as the Embodiment's daughter, was born in Volutaria's underground systems, an infernal labyrinth that was the resting grounds of Succubi and other perverted fiends. Within Samael's palace, a brimstone estate that rests at the lowest point of the maze for any demon to try and find. Eisheth had spent a few years here, twisting and shifting until she had taken her traditional form. She was quick to acquire power, being raised on her own by the domain itself. Due to Samael's influence on the region, Eisheth had essentially been raised by the region itself, and has had no real connection with Samael as a fatherly figure. Samael prides himself and his heritage when looking at Eisheth. She was one of the first demons that Samael had no issues with considering as a warrior. The moment they first met, Samael had requested, not ordered, for her to begin an assault upon Volutaria. A stray fight with any band of adventurers, just to determine her value. When she had returned, days later, she confessed that she had strayed from Samael's request, deciding to wipe out all of the Swordsmen of Volutaria, instead. It was at this moment that Eisheth had become a great asset for Samael, whenever he'd need help. From then on, she was free to roam the world at her leisure.

Magic Items

Athamé of Desire

Weapon (Dagger), Uncommon (requires attunement)
A small blade that stores the blood of its last victim. Allows for a 3rd-level spell to be cast using a 2nd-level spell slot, at the cost of damaging oneself with the Athamé. Once a creature uses this ability, the Athamé's magical properties is rendered as minsicule, and cannot be detected by magical means.
Eisheth had been gifted the Athamé upon her first direct interaction with her father, Samael. It was a gift, given in preparation for her first attack on Volutaria. Eisheth keeps the dagger as a token of her appreciation towards her father. Whilst she does not use her magic often, the dagger is more of a trinket of personal attachment, and stays concealed on her person at all times.

Samael's Second Gift

Weapon (Meteor Hammer), Artifact (requires attunement)
A meteor hammer that trails with red smoke. When this meteor hammer damages a creature, an Imp is summoned. It follows the wielder's orders through telepathy.
An immensely powerful weapon made by Samael, made specifically for Eisheth's attack against the Volutarian Society of Swordsmen. Eisheth has reserved it for the most valuable of encounters, and is eager to use it against the Blackstone Legion.

Divinity

Divine Domains

Eisheth represents the revelry and joy found in causing others pain. Those that follow her beliefs can be seen as sadists with short-term goals - but there are a few direct followers of the demon that have long-term schemes in motion, in dedication to her. Their love and admiration towards the Demoness transcends their dedication towards following her short-term, hedonistic values. Eisheth has little regard for most of her followers, but those who have done acts of great value towards her have been treated with varying scales of gratitude.

Artifacts

A magical item has been discovered in Northern Volutaria which is likely to have originated from Eisheth. A magical weapon, a whip, appears to be made out of her hair - hair that has likely been severed by the Banestress during their island-wide conflict. The whip can cause lacerations that linger for hours without healing. Its wielder is often a sadistic killer who hunts down their prey across the Wayfarer's Belt.

Eisheth vs. The Volutarian Society of Swordsmen

Before the Blackstone Legion had taken over Volutaria, the few towns that had lingered along the rivers and coastlines had been subject to the terrors of demons for centuries, long before the creation of Eisheth. The succubi, incubi, and hordes of miniscule, useless fiends were repelled from these first towns by a group of warriors that had prided themselves on . Then, when Eisheth had made her first emergence from Darkholm Fortress , wielding weapons that had belonged to the deepest basements and dungeons of Darkholm - picked specifically by Samael in order to cause the most amount of suffering to those who would cross her on the battlefield. Her main weapon, during these early decades of her life, was a cursed meteor hammer that held the ability to conjure imps from the wounds that it had inflicted.
The swordsmen were made up of seventeen members, in total. They were spread across the different regions and settlements in Volutaria, including Laramie City - a city which now serves as a colony controlled by The Blackstone Legion. It was during a siege upon Laramie, did ten of the Swordsmen appear to protect the city walls. When the lesser demons were all slain, Eisheth was quick to manifest within the clearings. She questioned, at first, the effectiveness of the lesser demons, discussing with the first Swordsman she had encountered their relative use in the destruction of the city. The Swordsman, Claude Afia, of the Afia Nobles, was quick in his efforts to put down the demon. Despite his efforts, his sword had shattered upon contact with her skin - and she had blended his insides using her hair.
By the time that Eisheth had reached the city's defences, she was met with the survivors of the Afia family, who were the protectors of Laramie City. She had risen to the towers of the outer walls, and had been quick to propel the five warriors from the barricades, falling to their deaths. She was met with a half-ogre called Brontus, a man from New Vytalie who offered his services to Laramie City. As her main threat, Eisheth used her magic haphazardly to dismiss the other swordsmen whilst she focused her efforts on the large foe. By dusk, the entire city had been destroyed, and Brontus only realised that he had failed to protect the city - admitting that his lack of intelligence made him weaker as a combatant. He relinquished all resistance, and let Eisheth kill him, marking the end of the Volutarian Society of Swordsmen as a society, for their only survivor had been Lady Mina of Kromecapeia, who only survived due to being on the other side of Volutaria.

Eisheth vs. The Banestress

Eisheth spent centuries exploring the massive island of Volutaria. It was only by the time of the Calendar Shift did she begin to look beyond the coast. She had grown tired of the stagnating world, for she had rid the people of any kind of strength. It was a demon's paradise, and it was not for her. Beyond Volutaria's natural landscape is an artificial island, hidden by the veils of the Banestress. Eisheth was capable of seeing this - how it was tethered to the land that she was made on. Eisheth felt a compulsion to explore this island, noting that very few people lived there. She believed that it could be a suitable place to become her domain, and had immediately ventured north. Upon her arrival to the island, Eisheth was subject to the sight of an empty site. The land itself had sunk into the water, the waves rippling off of its exterior, unable to breach the outer layer. From this middle point rose a tower, with many bridges can spread out towards other regions under its ruler's control. Eisheth had taken her first step upon the landmass, and was subject to a spell laced as a trap for her.
The only thing that Eisheth could hear, upon reaching the island, was 'I see you'. A simple term that had caused her to immediately feel panic, for the first time in her life. She had fled from the centre of this island, returning back to Volutaria. She was greeted by a strange mage upon her arrival, dressed in dark clothing who had her hands open, towards her. Without a word, Eisheth had been caught in a vortex of flames, one that reduced the region she had been standing in to a crater. Eisheth could barely escape, and proceeded to use every strength of hers against this mysterious foe. Her gift, bestowed by Samael, had came in handy - her dozens of strikes, whilst barely harming the stranger, but causing an army of imps to manifest. The main battle was comprised of Eisheth narrowly avoiding strikes until the Banestress had wittled down her imp army, eventually converging to a bloodied stand off.
Within the northwest of Volutaria's expanse lies a barren, lifeless region. This was where Eisheth saw her first defeat, completely stunned and nearly killed by the Banestress as she became the target of ancient magic. She fell, and the Banestress claimed a massive boost of power due to Eisheth's assumption that she may be able to contend with Samael.

Eisheth vs Forneus, Lanyonn, and General Garuda

Two decades had passed after Eisheth's first defeat - where she'd be met with her second failure in her life. When the Calendar Shift occurred, so too did the occurrence of interest in Aitso, from all corners of the stars beyond. Dormant gods were awoken, planets became abundant in life, and the eyes of a candidate for the Blackstone Legion's leadership position had been lured towards the world. Lord Eligor had looked to bring his people away from Tyffon, and had been granted his wish to create the Aitsonian Periphery of The Blackstone Legion . Eisheth was one of the first monsters that had been assumed a priority target, due to Eligor's wish to rid the surface of Volutaria of its demons. When the time came to attack Darkholm Fortress , Eligor had sent one of his most valuable generals to go after the fiend.
What Eligor didn't know, however, was that Lanyonn, the Minister of Science, was planning on conducting his first field experiment on his subject, Forneus. Eligor's closest friend had undergone severe mutations, done in secret by Lanyonn. With Lanyonn's will, Forneus could access a catalogue of powers that are far beyond that of the legion's current resources. Lanyonn offered to join Garuda's company, offering his services to locate Eisheth across the wastelands. Forneus was kept within his caravan as a secret, and as the days passed, he was fed the scraps of Lanyonn's rations. When the time came, Garuda had ordered his men to secure the boundaries of the Occult Valley, a region that used to be a haven for demonologists who studied Volutaria, who had dispersed upon the news that the Volutarian Swordsmen had dispersed. Eisheth had been dormant within this region after a successful sporting hunt. With Garuda's men securing the region, he had sprung in to strike the Demoness during her slumber.
Rather than killing her, Lanyonn had used the power of a modified Manus Box, known as a Manus Prism, to ensnare the fiend within. Eisheth was captured and left upon The S.S. Messiah , where she was kept in deep storage for over a year. Garuda believed himself to have slain Eisheth, and reported as such to Eligor.
