Emyntisysha

The Divine Realm of the God Aaryav, Emyntisysha is a Demi-Plane existing within the Planes of Empyrean and is also known as Aaryav's Library. The name refers to both the Realm as a whole, and to the only structure within; a massive library located on a floating island within the Astral Sea.

Geography

Emyntisysha is a relatively small Realm located within the Astral Sea of Empyrean and is composed of a single floating island that spans approximately two miles in any direction. From the island can be seen the borders of Arcania's Realm, as well as the main entryway to the House of the Scribes.

The land around the only structure on the Island, the Library itself, is predominantly meadowland with scattered lakes and small copses of trees. It is serene and beautiful, though the weather can change depending on Aaryav's mood. Luckily, the God is usually relatively relaxed and the weather is typically warm with a gentle breeze.

The Emyntisysha Library

Also known simply as Emyntisysha, the only structure within the Realm is a library that from the outside is composed of elegant, swooping stone, wood, and marble architecture, with large stained glass windows and glimmering spires of silver and shimmering blue slate. The inside is likewise crafted from stone, marble and wood, but resembles the inside of a huge library archive with floors and rooms that magically change layout with no rhyme or reason. The books, documents, and tomes within are all in perfect condition; the air inside being comfortable and clean with the faint scent of beeswax polish and new paper.

Localized Phenomena

Aaryav's Realm features bookshelves that switch out depending on the desires of those walking the halls, and the entire structure is soaked in suppression magics that prevent destructive spells from being cast within certain areas.

While the external structure does not move, the internal layout shifts and changes, with floors and chambers frequently changing location. This causes the inside of the structure of Emyntisysha to operate as an ever-changing maze, with only Aaryav and the Realm servants (of which there are few) able to safely navigate without getting lost.

History

Emyntisysha was created by Arcania and gifted to the God of Knowledge. Arcania knew that Aaryav would never craft and claim a Realm of his own without encouragement, as the shy God did not wish to cause any trouble or take up too much space. He simply wanted to get on with his job, assisting Arcania, which the Goddess felt was a shame.

She crafted the original Realm as a reflection of Aaryav's favourite location from his Mortal life, a small historical library located out in the countryside near to his home, and the central-most "chamber" of the Realm still has the aesthetic of that place, acting as his private retreat. However, over the millennia, Aaryav took inspiration from the architecture of grand libraries constructed by Mortals and expanded his Realm's style into what it is today.
