Khin Martial Academy

The martial academy in Khin, the capital city of Belu, is a place often associated with momentous and positive change. Folks who enrol there are often coming from challenging backgrounds and their troubled minds sometimes see the academy as a selfish path to gain power but, once they begin training, they begin their journey to become a grounded and responsible person.
The academy teaches many kinds of martial arts and no matter which discipline(s) you train in, each of them teach essential lessons of de-escalation methods, self discipline, and meditation. Lessons in patience are combined with physical exercise, weapons training, and tournaments.

Disciplines

The academy building has four quarters - one area for each major field of discipline:

1. Weapons training: longsword, rapier, sword & buckler, polearms, quarterstaff
2. Ranged weapons training: archery, crossbows, slings, pistols & rifles
3. Mounted combat: lance, sword, flail, bow
4. Close quarters combat: daggers, boxing, wrestling

Core physical training is done together (regardless of disciplines) and performed in the courtyard at the front of the academy. Many folks find an excuse to stop by on their lunch breaks to watch people train in feats of strength, agility, and acrobatics.
