World building is my favorite escape. It helps me hide from anxiety and battle insomnia. No matter what is keeping me awake at night, I can get lost in my head and drift off. Sometimes it feels like I'm remembering things more than making them up... which is possible since I've been making this world up for over 20 years, and I must have forgotten way more than I've ever written down.
