Therean

Overview:
was a tribe hunter/gatherer and helped train young against rival tribes as well as rising threat of orc tribes in basic combat. Therean's own tribe was caught by surprise by the orcs one day while Therean and 2 other Firbolgs (Derelin her brother, and Safir a hunter) were on a week long hunting trip for the community. They returned to find the community demolished. With no man power to seek revenge on the orcs, the 3 gathered a few items and left for the nearest village to find new meaning. They were attacked on their journey by a small hunting party of orcs as Derelin perished in the battle, while Therean and Safir were badly injured. Therean managed to get Safir to the nearest city (Ladenpool) and sought medical treatment. There Safir survived, however, lost his left leg due to a poisoned blade of an orc. Therean and Safir became very close companions due to their shared grief and suffering and due to Therean's caretaking of Safir. Safir became a well known inn keeper of the town and Therean sold herbs and animal hides that she gathered and hunted for in the nearby forests, the meat went to Safir's Inn. Therean makes few friends one of which the infamous Tilda, whom always takes her money by beating her at cards. The two quickly become frienemies. As Safir and Therean make more of a life for themselves in Ladenpool, Therean's grief clings, and she longs to avenge her brother and family by ridding the surrounding lands of the orc threats but cannot without proper companionship, and Safir can no longer adventure with her anymore due to his past injuries. Therean often kills the orcs she comes across drying her hunting but continues to long to rid the area of the war mongering orcs.   Therean travels from the city of Ladenpool via trading caravans to the much larger city of (insert city) where she joins an adventurers guild, and soon after a party of adventurers. Therean finds that her need for revenge diminishes as she's able to grieve for her old life far away from the town of Ladenpool, and she soon finds new meaning in helping others bring their wrongdoers to justice, however, her past and her distain of all things orc, as well as her cold steel when hunting keeps her from being much of an approachable (lawful good) person. She follows her gut, and often times it leads her true. Despite the long adventures, Therean often finds time to send trophy's of her adventures home to Safir, as well as exotic meats to serve at his inn, and Safir soon finds his inn full of interesting conversation starters. She also finds time to visit many times over the years to catch up with her brother-like companion and each visit she leaves with a full belly and a happy heart.   Despite her rocky past, Therean continues to love nature and all animals as it is her fundamental makeup. She is a quiet, and slightly cold individual, however loyal to her friends by a fault, she is brutally honest as it physically pains her to lie (firbolg trait). She is overprotective of her friends due to her past, and has trouble with trusting too easily, but once someone earns her trust it is seldom broken (loyal to a fault). Due to her time working at the inn with Safir, Therean has a basic understanding of cooking and as a hunter/gatherer can find enough food for 6 people at a time. Though party members are wide to have something to wash it down as she tends to make meals a bit too spicy.
