The Afflicted
When the small shred of aether within and individual becomes corrupted, that individual becomes Afflicted. Newly formed or weak Afflicted are not very dangerous on their own, but can quickly overwhelm with mob tactics if allowed to group up. Afflicted can typically live without their limbs, organs, or even heads, but when the crystaline structure inside their chests is shattered it always ends the march of that particular Afflicted.

- Skills: Brawl, Resilience
- Talents: None
- Abilities: Undead: Does not need to breathe, eat, or drink, and can survive underwater; immune to poisons and toxins. Crystaline Heart: The GM may spend 3 threat or 1 despair from any check that would defeat an Afflicted to instead have the attack be deflected by the crystal structure around the heart, effectively canceling the damage to the group from the attack.
