By appearance, a simple rusted nail. No matter how much the nail is cleaned, flakes of blood can be found embedded in the pits of rust on its surface.
Feed the ancient: As an action, you can prick yourself with the nail's jagged edge. Whatever latent power resides in the nail feeds on your blood. Roll a D20. Use the table below to determine how hungry the ancient is currently and the blessing you are bestowed in feeding it. Once this property is used, it cannot be used again until the following dawn.

| 1 | Ravenous | The nail drains significant amounts of blood. Lose all but 1 hp and gain 1 point of exhaustion. All expended sorcery points are restored and you regain 1 expended sorcery spell slot, at the highest level available. |
| 2-9 | Famished | Lose 2d10 hit points. You immediately regain 3 expended sorcery points. |
| 10-19 | Hungry | Lose 1d10 hit points. You immediately regain 2 expended sorcery points. |
| 20 | Sated | The Ancient is sated, but honors your attempts to feed it. Its power (and blood) begin spilling from you. Choose any target (including yourself) within thirty feet to bestow this blessing on. Gouts of ancient blood spew forth onto the target and they receive 2D10+10 healing and 1 level of exhaustion is removed. If the target had no levels of exhaustion, they instead gain advantage on their next D20 roll in the next minute. |
